Airbus A380 Lands In Los Angeles
Totally unrelated to personal finance, but still awesome. As part of my job, I’m onsite at LAX a couple days a week. Yesterday, the Airbus A380 made it’s US debut in New York and Los Angeles. The A380 is the largest passenger plane in the world and can seat up to 853 people. It’s 8 stories tall and it’s wingspan is as wide as a football field. I was lucky enough to be on the runway when the plane landed here in LA, and this thing is huge. Here’s some pictures…

That thing is so gargantuous. (sp?) Anyways, I saw the landing online, and it got a bit wobbly, made me worry just for a second. I mean, that’s a HUGE plane to land with just one person in control!

They said it’s actually easier to land because the wings are so large. I saw the wobble too, though. Good thing it didn’t crash because it would have run us right over!

Wow…you are one lucky dude (dudette (?)). I wish I was around LA to click some snaps myself.
Noticed the wobble, but not worried about it…I guess many planes do it and sometimes it’s noticeable and sometimes it’s not.
Did they allow you inside the plane or something?

Hey Golbguru….
Unfortunately, I wasn’t allowed on the plane, but we followed in down the taxi way for awhile.
And you were right with dude.
